What is PS2 ?

PS2 is a PostScript Level II file, the page description language spoken by laser printers, print servers and raster image processors. Level II added compression and better colour handling to the original PostScript, and it remains the version older printing equipment reliably understands. Here it is an output format: pages and images are written as Level II PostScript ready to send to a printer.
